Nate Kelly founded the Law Offices of Nate Kelly in 2012 after working the the international law firm of Kaye Scholer LLP as a Corporate Finance Associate. He is a corporate attorney, business advisor, & startup and securities law expert, who specializes in negotiating commercial contracts, with more than $100M in securities transactions; $100M in start-up client revenue; and $100M in settlements. 

Offering strategic advising for businesses, brands, creatives, entrepreneurs, founders, investors, nonprofits, political organizations, and startups; Nate Kelly advises clients from concept, to operations, to sale. He serves as private counsel, corporate officer, board member; as well as a public and private advocate for business, civic, environmental, charitable organizations, in additional to advocating on behalf of political issues as well as candidates for local, statewide, and national political offices.

Larisa Migachyov is a patent attorney and Of Counsel for the Law Offices of Nate Kelly, leading our patent practice since 2016, representing startups and inventors.

Larisa brings ample technical and legal skill to the firm, and has great sensitivity to the needs of inventors, having obtained a patent herself (U.S. Pat. No. 6,304,840) while at Stanford and invented several other devices.

After graduating with a Masters degree in biomechanical engineering from Stanford University, Larisa worked as a mechanical engineer for several years before opening her own design consulting firm, serving individual inventors and assisting them with design for manufacturability, industrial design, prototype creation, and the drafting of patent drawings. ​She then passed the Patent Bar and practiced in that capacity while attending law school at the University of Pennsylvania.

After graduating from law school, Larisa worked for the prestigious firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, specializing in patent litigation, before opening an independent practice.

Larisa is fluent in Russian and is very happy to work with Russian-speaking clients. 

In her spare time, Larisa composes and performs Ragtime music, and is the world’s most prolific female Ragtime composer.
